Adelaide forward Josh Rachele says his transition into the AFL and living in Adelaide has been an “enjoyable” one.

The Crows drafted the 20-year-old from regional Victorian town Shepparton with Pick No.6 at the 2021 National Draft.

Since arriving at the Club, Rachele has played 25 games and kicked 32 goals.

Joining Sauce and Thomo on last week’s edition of The Crows Radio Show, Rachele said he had slotted seamlessly into life in Adelaide.

“It’s been a pretty smooth transition, I had a lot of people tell me Adelaide is like a big country town, which has made things better for me moving here instead of going to Melbourne or somewhere else,” Rachele said.

“It was awesome to be drafted with a few of the Melbourne boys in Zac (Taylor), Luke (Nankervis) and Jake (Soligo), and then to move in with Jake and Luke has also made the transition smooth.

“We have been able to go through all those experiences (of starting out in the AFL) together, and it’s been very enjoyable.”
