Tom Doedee and Kieran Strachan are both expected to be available for selection this weekend as they progress through the AFL’s concussion protocols.
Doedee was injured in Round 9 of the AFL and Strachan in Round 6 of the SANFL and both have recovered well.
Mitch Hinge will however miss this weekend after he was injured against the Western Bulldogs on the weekend.
“Hingey was concussed in an incident in the first quarter against the Western Bulldogs on the weekend and is in the protocols now,” High Performance Manager Darren Burgess said.
“He ran this morning so he’s in a really good space and we expect him to move through the protocols according to the medical team.
“Tom (Doedee) and Kieran (Strachan) will tick off the final stage of their concussion (protocol) at training this week and we expect them to be available this weekend.”
Hugh Bond (knee) and Shane McAdam (quad) are both edging closer to returning from injury and may be available for selection next week.
“Shane has been fully training the last couple of weeks. He probably has one more week of training to pass through and once he gets through that he’ll be available next weekend,” Burgess said.
“Bondy is doing really well, he’s joining in training and we’re hoping if he gets through this week and next week that he will be able to play next weekend in the SANFL.”
