Adelaide forward Taylor Walker says the playing group knows they fell flat in all areas of the game in Saturday’s 45 point loss to the Western Bulldogs.
Speaking to Roo, Ditts and Loz on Triple M Adelaide Breakfast, Walker said the review was an eye-opening one.
“I hope it was just a flat week,” Walker said.
“We reviewed it yesterday and it was quite hard for the coaches to tell us where we went wrong, but we knew.
“We were just super flat in all areas, we couldn’t win the footy, when we had the footy we made skill errors and our ability to get in opposition face, which has been strength all year, also wasn’t there.
“Let’s hope it was just a one off and not a trend.”
Adelaide will get a chance to respond this Sunday as it hosts second-placed Brisbane to conclude Sir Doug Nicholls Round.
Walker said he was well aware of the challenge the Lions would present and that the Crows would have to be at their best to secure a sixth win of the season.
“This is a game we need to win and they (Brisbane) are in good form, there are no easy games at all this year,” Walker said.
“Back when I first started you could look at the fixture and pick off a few wins, but these days you can’t do that, you need to back up each week and it’s always competitive and strong.
“So we’ll need to be at our best on Sunday, that's for sure.”
The Crows face Brisbane at Adelaide Oval this Sunday, with the first bounce at 4.10pm (ACST).
