Crows wingman David Mackay has married long-time partner Sarah Endersbee.
David and Sarah were wed on Saturday at the Botanic Gardens in Melbourne.
The newlyweds celebrated their marriage with 150 family and friends, including a host of Adelaide players, at a reception in St Kilda. Sarah looked gorgeous in a dress designed Mathieu Salem.
The pair met nine years ago and maintained a long-distance relationship for four years when ‘DMac’ was drafted by the Crows in 2006. They got engaged 18 months ago.
Prior to the big day, David spoke of his excitement about the occasion.
“It's going to be an awesome day. You look forward to it your whole life and no doubt it will be the best day of my life. And the start of something really special which I'm really looking forward to,” he said.
“Sarah is going to look incredible I'm sure and I'm one very lucky man.”
David and Sarah will honeymoon in Spain, Southern France and Italy for three weeks and enjoy a short stay in the Maldives on their way home.
Richard Douglas, Andy Otten and former Crow Phil Davis were among the players to attend David’s bucks show at the races in Melbourne last weekend.
Captain Nathan van Berlo, who proposed to partner Jess Holtham in July, is set to be the next Crow to walk down the aisle. Defender Brent Reilly married long-time partner Jamie last offseason. The pair celebrated their first wedding anniversary over the weekend.
