Adelaide’s forward line may need further renovation this week with Shaun McKernan (jaw) out and Kurt Tippett (concussion) likely to miss.

McKernan sustained an undisplaced fracture of his jaw following a collision early in the second quarter of Balfours Showdown XXXII. The Club is still waiting to learn how long the forward/ruckman will be sidelined for.

Small forwards Ian Callinan (calf) and Jared Petrenko (foot), who missed Saturday night’s Showdown, are also not certain to return for Sunday’s clash with the GWS Giants at Sydney’s Skoda Stadium.

Young Crow Sam Kerrridge (adductor) rested from the SANFL on the weekend, but is expected to be clear to play this week. Jarryd Lyons returned to action on Saturday after missing a month with a sore foot, playing as a ‘guest’ in the Eagles reserves.

Adelaide’s next open session is on Wednesday, from about 10am on Max Basheer Reserve. The main training session (closed) is on Thursday and the team will have a light run at Skoda Stadium in Sydney, on Saturday afternoon.
