Brent Reilly regained some match fitness with a sound display for Sturt in the SANFL on Saturday.
Reilly, who has had two long stints on the sidelines this season through injury, had a strong first half against Norwood and finished with 23 possessions as a midfielder.
Norwood’s trio of Crows all contributed to the win. Taylor Walker kicked 2.1 from 11 possessions, Aaron Kite won his defensive position and Luke Jericho kicked two goals from 21 possessions.
North Adelaide defender Greg Gallman played his part in his team’s win over Central District. He had nine possessions while keeping his opponents goal-less.
For Central, rookie James Moss was a late inclusion to the league side and picked up 17 possessions at half-back in a solid effort. Ruckman Jonathon Griffin won about 18 hit-outs and had five possessions.
Ken McGregor played at centre half back and won his position. He had 11 possessions and took four marks.
In the SANFL reserves, Tony Armstrong was prominent for North Adelaide at half-back in the first half and was tagged later in the game. Jarrhan Jacky returned from an ankle injury with the Eagles and Brodie Martin was quiet for Sturt.
There was also some good news for 2007 draftee Myke Cook, who collected 16 possessions in a half with South Adelaide’s reserves. It was his first game since early in the season because of a hamstring problem.
Patrick Dangerfield had 28 possessions and kicked two goals in Geelong Falcons' win over Bendigo at Kardinia Park on Saturday.
