Three-time Adelaide AFLW Premiership Captain Chelsea Randall will line up in the blockbuster Qualifying Final against Melbourne on Friday night.
Randall has overcome a sprained ankle, which she sustained during Round Eight and had kept her out of the past two matches.
The Skipper was enjoying a switch from the backline to the forward line this season and had featured in every game until her injury.
She has kicked seven goals and averaged 19 disposals and four clearances, across eight games this campaign.
Adelaide AFLW Senior Coach Matthew Clarke said Randall got through the majority of Wednesday night’s main training session and “all things being equal, she’ll play”.
“She has worked super hard throughout the rehab process,” Clarke said.
“It was touch and go for a while there but it’s right on three weeks and she got through training, so she’s available.
“We did a version of a match sim for a brief period and she just ran around and played, so she should be alright.”
Clarke said it would be a massive boost to have Randall return, as she was a “great leader and a great player”.
“She is amazingly versatile, so she’s a great asset to have going into a pretty big game,” Clarke said.
Forward Lisa Whiteley has been omitted.
Adelaide takes on Melbourne at IKON Park on Friday, November 4, at 7.10pm AEST (6.40pm ACDT).
The winner of the clash will gain direct entry into a Preliminary Final.
