Adelaide has made three changes for its blockbuster clash against Brisbane at Metricon Stadium on Friday night.
Two-time Premiership utility Hannah Button returns to the lineup after missing last weekend’s win against Fremantle due to personal reasons.
Joining Button in the side is recruit Niamh Kelly after recovering from a shoulder injury, as well as two-time Premiership winger Eloise Jones.
Keely Kustermann, Lisa Whiteley and Brooke Tonon have been omitted.
Adelaide AFLW Senior Coach Matthew Clarke said Kelly had worked hard with her rehab and had been given the all clear by the medical staff to play.
“Niamh has spent the past three weeks rehabbing, so now the physios and medical team are really confident and comfortable to resume playing,” Clarke said.
“In that game against Collingwood, she was really significant in terms of bringing speed and pressure, so we are looking forward to her doing that again.”
Clarke said the players missing out this weekend were “unlucky” and that showed the strength of the squad.
“The ones going out are unlucky,” Clarke said.
“Keeley in her first game didn’t do too much wrong, she was a good contributor.
“But the selection-squeeze is that we’ve got some really important players coming back in.”
The Crows will again celebrate Pride Round during this weekend’s match by donning specially-designed guernseys.
Adelaide’s guernsey has the rainbow flag woven seamlessly into the centre of the design, reflecting how LGBTIQA+ fans are a core part of the Adelaide Football Club community.
The 2022 design increases the visibility of the rainbow flag, with the colours added to the shoulders of the guernsey.
Adelaide takes on Brisbane at Metricon Stadium on Friday, with the first bounce at 8pm (ACDT).
