Four Crows posted season-best Fantasy scores on Friday night at the MCG, and once again it was Scott Thompson who led the charge.

The midfielder continued his outstanding start to the year with a match-high 33 possessions, seven tackles and six marks for 126 Fantasy points. Thompson finished as the highest scorer on the ground and was the only Crow to post a triple-figure total against the Hawks.

It’s the third consecutive week that Thommo has been Adelaide’s top Fantasy performer. His score was also his fourth ton in a row and rocketed him up to No.6 in the AFL for average points scored per game (113).

Still, somehow, he remains largely ignored by Fantasy coaches with barely one per cent ownership across the competition. He’s a safe and unique selection who could be difference in head-to-head matches.

Dashing wingman David Mackay also posted his best score of 2016 with a 99 against the Hawks.

Mackay had 23 disposals and a team-high ten tackles to help him notch what was his biggest Fantasy total in over a year.

The 27-year-old, who will play AFL game No.150 this weekend, appears to be building back into some solid form. An 86 in Round Two’s Showdown XL was another handy total given his $364,000 price point. Continue to watch his output over the coming rounds.

By the numbers: Round Five

Rory Sloane and Sam Jacobs were next in line for Adelaide, with both players scoring 96 points on Friday night.

Jacobs’ total was his biggest of the season so far after a slow start to the Fantasy year by his lofty standards. ‘Sauce’ had a game-high 40 hit-outs alongside 17 possessions against Hawthorn’s tandem of Ben McEvoy and Jonathon Ceglar.

Jacobs has shed almost $70k through the first five rounds, which means he’s now great value for Fantasy coaches looking to re-shuffle their ruck division. He’ll be aiming for another big game this week against a Fremantle side missing first-choice ruckman Aaron Sandilands.

Sloane continues to be Adelaide’s Mr Consistent and is averaging just under 100 points per game through past three rounds. He collected 26 possessions, seven tackles and kicked a goal to be one of the Crows’ best in the loss to Hawthorn.

Recruit Paul Seedsman was the fourth Crow to notch a season-best score against the Hawks.

The 2015 ANZAC Medallist produced another impressive performance to kick off the long weekend with 23 disposals, six tackles and kicked a trademark long-range goal for 94 points.

A popular choice already given his DEF/MID status, Seedsman will carry an achievable break even of 52 into Saturday’s clash with the winless Dockers.

Rory Atkins is another rising Crow to watch after a solid display at the MCG.

He’s now scored a 94 and an 84 in his past two outings and should storm past his break even of 22 this weekend. He’s currently owned by less than two per cent of the competition, but expect that number to soar leading into Round Six.
