Adelaide captain Rory Sloane can accept a one-match ban with an early plea after being charged with contact to the eye region against Fremantle midfielder Blake Acres.

The incident occurred in the first quarter of Adelaide's Round One loss to Fremantle on Sunday.

The incident was assessed as intentional conduct, low impact and high contact.

The Crows will now consider whether or not to appeal the sanction.
