Adelaide will be the only AFL club to produce its own dedicated free-to-air television and radio programs, with the Crows Show expanding to 104.7 Triple M during the 2022 home and away season.
The weekly one-hour radio show hosted by former Crows ruckman Sam Jacobs and Triple M’s Mark ‘Thomo’ Thomas will balance humour and analysis, and give fans the ultimate Crows experience as they venture behind the scenes and delve into the players’ lives away from football.
Among the offerings on this Sunday’s debut show are a feature chat with young midfielder and keen fisherman Ned McHenry and a flashback moment with former forward Jason Porplyzia, as well as a cheeky segment where supporters will get an insight into the locker room banter.
Meanwhile, in its eighth season on free-to-air television, the wholly Club-produced Crows Show will return to Channel 7 Adelaide with a new look and feel this year.
With unrivalled access, new lifestyle reporter Belinda Sloane will join long-time host Mark Bickley to share the latest news from Adelaide’s three teams, including feature interviews with players and staff and insight into the league’s biggest issues.
Jacobs said the radio show would offer a new perspective for Crows fans.
“The Crows Show has been such a massive part of the Club for so long and it is great to join this family with the radio show,” Jacobs said.
“Thomo is a great guy who loves his football and I can’t wait to work alongside him this year.
“As a past player, I have a connection to the playing group but I’m also really passionate about the great history of our Club, and making sure we bring this to life and engage with our Members and fans as much as possible.
“Having both shows is something that is really unique in Australian sport and we are looking forward to bringing our supporters on the journey with us this season and beyond.”
The radio-version of the Crows Show can be heard on 104.7 Triple M every Sunday from 9am until 10am or on demand via the LiSTNR app.
The Crows Show returns to Channel 7 this Sunday at 3pm.
