Some of the state’s best young female footballers have come together at West Lakes as part of the 2022 Bridgestone Crows Academies NGA Girls program.

The Bridgestone Crows Academies brings together the best under-15 female players in the state who have been nominated by our four NGA aligned clubs - North, Central, Glenelg and Sturt.

Two-time AFLW Premiership Player Courtney Cramey will lead this year’s program.

She will combine her new role as Girls NGA Academies Coach with assistant coaching duties for Adelaide’s AFLW side.

For the first time, coaches from the SANFL aligned NGA clubs will join the program, with Maya Rigter (Sturt SANFLW Captain), Brianna Arthur (North Adelaide) and Angela Moritz (Glenelg) all playing a role. 
 
The 2022 squad includes the biggest regional representation ever in our Crows NGA Girls program, with 13 players joining the program. 

Players will have an opportunity to show their skills in practice matches against Port Adelaide’s NGA Academy, including as an AFLW curtain raiser. 

Cramey said she was impressed with what she has seen so far.

“It was great to get the group together for the first time and see what they can do,” Cramey said.

“The skill level every year just gets better and better, and they are so keen to learn and grow.

“We now have 12 Crows Academies graduates who have gone on to be drafted on to an AFLW Squad.

“They include our most recent Adelaide draftees Brooke Tonon and Zoe Prowse, and I can’t wait to see what this group can achieve.”
