Port Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley could look to hard-running pair Kane Mitchell and Aaron Young for Sunday’s Showdown XXXIX against the Crows.
2012 Sandover Medallist Mitchell, who kicked two goals against Adelaide in Round Five, amassed 21 possessions, 12 clearances and 12 tackles in Port Magpies’ one-point loss to Norwood.
Young hasn’t played with the Power since the club’s Round 11 clash with Geelong, but could come into the mix at match committee after collecting 24 possessions, 11 clearances and 11 tackles in the SANFL last weekend.
Livewire Nathan Krakouer also responded well after being left out of Port’s team to confront Collingwood. Krakouer had five rebounds among his 15 disposals and could add pace to Port’s half-back line.
The Power have already ruled out defender Alipate Carlile due to back and hip complaints, while fellow backman Tom Jonas is unlikely to return to the senior team after being sidelined last weekend with a quad issue.
