Keane joined Adelaide during the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period in 2023. The Irishman from Cork returned to Australia to resume his AFL career after playing five games in three years for Collingwood from 2019 to 2021. He was contracted to Collingwood for 2022 but decided to remain in Ireland due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. Keane made his Club debut with the Crows in the Round 20 Showdown against Port Adelaide and went on to play four more games with Adelaide in 2023. In 2024, Keane became a consistent cog in Adelaide's defence, playing 21 games, where he shone in one-on-one contests, in the air and with ball in hand under pressure. He signed a three-year contract extension in September, 2024.
