Irishman Mark Keane arrived at West Lakes on Monday after Adelaide signed him during the pre-season supplemental signing period.
To help our Members and fans get to know the defender better, we asked you what you’d like to know about him and here are his answers to the questions.
Q: Liam Neeson or Conor McGregor?
Conor McGregor. I’m not really a boxing fan but I’m a Conor McGregor fan.
Q: Guinness or Coopers Stout?
Guinness, 100 per cent.
Q: How did the opportunity come about to join the Club?
I just had a few chats with people back home, including Marty Clarke (Irishman who played for Collingwood), then with a spot opening up at the Crows, the opportunity just came from there.
I also knew Tyler Brown and a few of the other boys at the Crows - Izak Rankine, Chayce Jones, Jackson Hately and Ned McHenry - from the AIS Camp that we went to in 2018.
Q: Favourite athlete?
LeBron James
Q: What is the thing you like most about Australia?
The good weather and everyone being so relaxed.
Q: Favourite Irish band?
The Coronas - an Irish rock band that originated in Dublin.
Q: Kerry or Dublin?
Neither. But if I was to choose one, it’d be Kerry.
Q: What made you decide to go to the Adelaide Crows?
I just had a few chats with people at the Crows and I had a zoom call with Nicksy, then looked at the facilities and thought it was absolutely unbelievable.
They have a good, emerging list coming through, so I was happy to hop on board and see where it takes me.
Q: How do you find understanding the Aussie accent and on field communication?
I find I can understand it perfectly, but I’m not so sure it’s the same the other way.
