The Crows selected Draper with Pick No.4 at the 2024 AFL National Draft. The South Adelaide midfielder was one of the most explosive players in the draft with top-end speed and agility to match his ball-winning ability. Draper put together two very strong seasons which began in 2023 when he captained South Adelaide’s under-18 team to the premiership, was named MVP of the SA Under-18 team and made the Under-18 All-Australian team as a bottom-age player. In 2024, the powerful inside midfielder with good stoppage craft proved himself at senior level as well, where he averaged 22 disposals and five clearances in six SANFL games after overcoming some early-season injury woes. He also averaged 21 disposals a game for SA at the national championships as captain.
