One young Crows fan will have an extra special experience at Thursday night’s qualifying final match.

Jess Brown will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to toss the coin ahead of Adelaide’s clash with Greater Western Sydney.

A Crows supporter all her life, Jess was diagnosed with brain cancer at the age of 20 and over the last four years has had three reoccurrences.

The 24-year-old became a popular figure at the Club earlier this year when the Crows Children’s Foundation arranged a visit to for her to meet the team, including her favourite player Rory Sloane.

After spending time with Jess following training, Sloane pulled the boots off his feet and gave them to her in an effort to do something to help.

Instead of keeping the unique gift, Jess decided to auction the boots, via the Club, to raise awareness and funds for Cure Brain Cancer Foundation.

Speaking ahead of the match, Jess said she was excited about the opportunity to again get up-close with her favourite team.

“It’s a shame that Rory won’t be playing but it’s still really exciting. To be in the middle in front of 50,000 fans will be amazing,” she said.

The opportunity to venture onto the hallowed turf of Adelaide Oval ahead of the finals match came about thanks to the Club’s major partner Toyota and the Crows Children’s Foundation.

Toyota made the decision to donate the opportunity to the Foundation to award to someone who would really appreciate it. 

“The toss of the coin is one of footy’s great traditions and we are excited that one the Crows’ biggest fans gets to experience this opportunity, good luck Jess,” said a Toyota spokesperson.
