Adelaide Head of Player Health and Performance Rehabilitation Tim Parham has provided the following injury update after the Round 18 loss to West Coast.
Lachie Murphy
“Lachie has irritated his right ankle which is the one he had surgery on earlier in the season. There was an incident in the third quarter where he experienced both joint and bone pain. He was able to continue playing until another incident in the final term which caused the situation with his ankle to further deteriorate and he was in turn substituted. Further clinical assessment will be undertaken in the next 24-48 hours."
Rory Sloane
“Rory was poked in the eye while contesting a stoppage in the last quarter, resulting in him coming from the ground for a short period of time. He was able to return to the field and finish the game. This incident did not involve the eye which required surgery this year.”
