Adelaide has named five inclusions to its extended 26-man squad set to take on North Melbourne at Adelaide Oval this Sunday.
After battling injuries, forward Riley Knight and wingman Paul Seedsman have both been named on an eight-man interchange, alongside defender Jake Kelly who spent last week in the Crows SANFL side.
With skipper Taylor Walker the only confirmed out due to suspension, athletic forward Mitch McGovern and tall forward Elliott Himmelberg were also selected in the squad.
If Himmelberg is chosen in the final team, the 20-year-old will make his AFL debut against the Kangaroos.
“Elliott’s been in good form in the SANFL, kicked five goals a couple of weeks ago so good to see him come into the squad,” Head of Football Brett Burton told AFC Media on Thursday.
Defender Daniel Talia will miss out on selection this week with an ongoing leg injury.
The final 22 will be announced at 4.30pm on Friday, following Adelaide’s main training session on Thursday evening.
