Promising young Crow Jarryd Lyons will miss two or three games to rest a sore foot.

Lyons, who made his AFL debut earlier this season, has been wearing a moon boot on his left leg since pulling up sore after playing for Glenelg in the SANFL last weekend.

Glenelg has named Tom Lynch on a wing for Monday’s clash with the Eagles at the Bay. Chris Knights, in the mix to be in Adelaide’s team to play St Kilda next Friday night, may be kept out of the Eagles side.

Luke Thompson has been named at centre half back for the Eagles and Cam Ellis-Yolmen has been added to the squad after a strong performance in the reserves last weekend.

Ricky Henderson, who travelled to Perth last weekend as an emergency for the Crows, has been released to play for Central District at Elizabeth on Saturday. He will join Brad Symes in the Bulldogs side, while rookie Rory Laird returns from illness to play for West Adelaide.

Lewis Johnston (North) and Luke Brown (Norwood) will line up in the game at Prospect on Saturday, while South Adelaide’s Andy Otten is the only Crow featuring in the league game at Alberton Oval.

Sturt has the bye this weekend.

Ben Dowdell (South), Mitch Grigg (Norwood), James Craig (North), Sam Martyn and Nick Joyce (Eagles) are playing in the reserves.
