Young Crows midfielder Harry Schoenberg is ready to embrace the challenge of the in-form Melbourne Demons at Adelaide Oval on Saturday.
Schoenberg made his debut against the Demons in Round 10, 2020, notching 12 touches and two tackles.
“I debuted last year against Melbourne so I stood (Clayton) Oliver and (Jack) Viney… so to compete with them will be great… I can learn a lot of that as well,” Schoenberg told the media on Tuesday.
After playing the remaining eight games of the 2020 season and carving out a spot in the side, Schoenberg is eager to show his improvement.
“Definitely this year I’ve grown a whole lot more, each game I’ve played I’m just learning more, getting more confident so I’m just taking each game as it comes and hopefully, we get a win against Melbourne this week,” he said.
Adelaide’s young side faces a tough test against the 9-0 Demons on Saturday, but Schoenberg sees the match-up as another chance to learn.
“We’re a pretty young team. There’s a few of us that have only played a handful of games… we’re still learning and each game we’re getting better,” he said.
“When we’re playing our best footy, we can compete with anyone so that’s what we’re going to take into the game.”
Adelaide will face the Demons at 4.05pm ACST on Saturday.
