The Adelaide Crows Foundation is proud to announce the appointment of four new board members.
Chris Keane, Julie Cooper, Jessica Adamson and Darcy Fogarty have all been appointed to the Board.
Keane is the Chief of Future Business for Australia’s largest defence company, BAE Systems Australia. He has spent a decade in senior government advisory roles focussed on industry, superannuation and defence policy in both State and Federal Government.
Cooper is a highly-experienced international corporate leader and Board Director. She is a Non Executive Director and Deputy Chair of Nova Systems - one of the most successful Australian-owned engineering-based high technology companies. She is also a Non Executive Director of Credit Union SA; a member of the Advisory Board of the Sarah building and construction Group; and is a Divisional Councillor for the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Adamson is a face familiar to South Australians. She forged a reputation as one of the state’s finest journalists during her 24 years in television news, which included reporting on domestic and international sporting events and natural disasters.
Adelaide Crows forward Fogarty has been a long-term supporter of the Adelaide Crows Foundation through its breakfast programs and the Crows Care program. He replaces Kyle Hartigan as the men’s team representative.
Adelaide Crows Foundation chairperson Kate Thiele said it was exciting to have fresh faces on the board.
“Each of our new board members brings a unique perspective and skill”, Thiele said.
“From media to leadership and governance, each will be critical in helping the Foundation to continue to grow and pursue new projects.
“Darcy will play an important role in connecting the Foundation with the playing group and finding new opportunities for players to get involved.
“The Foundation is passionate about using the power of sport to engage, enrich and inspire children and youth in our community, and I believe our new board members will be critical in helping us reach this goal.
“Garry Winter will be retiring from his Board position in May and we thank him for his outstanding contribution, since the Board’s inception in 2005.”
The Adelaide Crows Foundation board now includes Kate Thiele (Chair), Jessica Adamson, Matthew Clarke, Julie Cooper, Kate Ellis, Darcy Fogarty, Daniel Johnston, Chris Keane and Chelsea Randall.
