Melbourne coach Simon Goodwin spoke after his Club's 91-point win over Adelaide on Sunday.

On playing one week at a time …

"They have just got to play what’s in front of them. This week we got the opportunity to play against the Adelaide Football Club. We respect the game, we respect every team we play against, we played against the Adelaide Football Club today. It was an important win, of course it was. Every week is important."

On whether it was Melbourne’s 'coming out party' …

"I thought it was an important game against a really strong football club. We’ve been in some pretty good form heading into this week and we knew we were coming up against a strong footy team, so to put on a performance like that was pleasing. We understand this game is about small margins, to be in form but also to be out of form. It wasn't that long ago we were struggling and had to find a way to get into form and to the boys' credit they've set their weeks up incredibly well."

On playing in the Northern Territory …

"We love coming to the Northern Territory, it is our home venue. We want to make this a place where we come to and really thrive in. We’ve won the last two, and I think we have been evolving in a better team. We want to make the Northern Territory our home in terms of how we play, and I think that today that was on show."
