A passion for women’s football has inspired Lynn Drew to leave a legacy at the Adelaide Football Club.

The long-term Crows member has made a sizeable bequest to the Crows AFLW team through the Crows Forever program.

Lyn has been an avid supporter of the Crows AFLW side since their first game in 2017.

“I was just so excited that women got the chance to play as well and its why I wanted to help the club as much as I could,” Lynn said.

“Everyone I talk to, they have daughters, nieces, playing footy and I think that is just fantastic.

“I just feel like the women need all the support they can get.”

Lynn is well known by the players and received loud cheers from the entire AFLW playing group when she presented the match ball at their round nine clash with Collingwood.

“Hearing them cheering for me - it means everything.

“I’ve met a lot of the players, done a tour of the Club rooms at West Lakes and had coffee with Chloe (Sheer) and Anne (Hatchard) last month.

“What I really love about the girls is their enthusiasm, how they really respect the supporters and I just love how they play.”

Adelaide Crows Foundation manager Louise McDonald said gifts like Lynn’s leave a lasting impact at the Club.

“We are greatly touched by Lynn’s passion for the Club and her generosity,” Louise said.

The Sibling Stars: Hannah and Rachelle

When Rachelle Martin was drafted to the Crows last year, no one was more excited than her sister Hannah. The two are now proudly representing the Crows heading into this year's finals series.

“It has been a pleasure to get to know Lynn and be able to thank her now for her passion and commitment that will support our AFLW side in the future.

“If members or fans are thinking of leaving a bequest to the Club, we like to know so we can recognise and thank them now.”

Thanks to Official Member Partner RAA, Lynn was also surprised with a $500 RAA Travel Voucher, which Lynn will use to attend the upcoming AFLW Finals Series from her home in Goolwa.

Crows Forever is a program for Club supporters who have extended their support of the Club by leaving a bequest to the Crows in their Will.

Crows Forever supporters are welcomed into our Club in a variety of ways and provided with unique opportunities to interact with the Club and players.
