‘One more to go’

That’s the message from Crows captain Taylor Walker after Adelaide’s incredible Preliminary Final win over Geelong on Friday night.

The Crows powered to their first Grand Final appearance since 1998 in emphatic fashion by topping the Cats by 61 points.

Walker, now in his third season as skipper, said it was unbelievable to earn a place in the decider.

But the job’s not done yet.

“We strived to play in a Grand Final and we’re finally there,” Walker said.

“We’ve got one more to go.

“We’re going to go over there, and we’re going to play to win.”

The road to the Grand Final hasn’t been an easy one since Walker was appointed captain in 2015.

The 27-year-old said the challenges along way have only served to galvanise the group even further.

“I’ve got so much trust and belief in all the boys that played,” Walker said.

“We’ve been through so much as a group, and it’s just created a stronger bond. Our culture at this footy club is unbelievable.

“I want to play forever.”

Adelaide will confront the winner of Saturday’s twilight Preliminary Final between Richmond at Greater Western Sydney in next Saturday’s Grand Final.

Walker isn’t concerned who the Crows play in the decider. His message is clear and simple.

“Let’s go over there and win it.”
