Daniel Talia is a chance to play against Richmond on Sunday after receiving positive news on his hamstring.
Talia felt for his hamstring in the opening minute of Adelaide’s win over Gold Coast on Saturday, and took no further part in the game.
Crows General Manager of High Performance Matt Hass said the early prognosis was good for the two-time All Australian.
“He (Talia) has recovered quite well,” Hass said.
“We expect him to do some of the training with the team and we’ll test his availability for the weekend.”
Young forward Riley Knight could also line up against the Tigers at Adelaide Oval on Sunday evening.
Knight experienced hamstring soreness in the last quarter on the weekend and sat out the remainder of the match as a precaution.
“It doesn’t look too serious at this stage. We’ll manage his loads across the week and at this stage we don’t expect him to miss too much football,” Hass said.
Josh Jenkins has progressed in his recovery from a rib injury sustained at the MCG in Round Two.
“We’ve built his workload over the last couple of weeks,” Hass said.
“He completed quite a significant session over the weekend, which will make it an interesting decision for match committee this week.”
In more positive news, backman Jake Kelly has been cleared to return to playing.
Kelly missed Adelaide’s trip to Metricon Stadium after being poked in the eye against Essendon.
Draftees Jordan Gallucci (shin) and Ben Jarman, who suffered a corked leg in Adelaide’s SANFL loss to Central District on Saturday, are also available for selection.
Defensive duo Kyle Cheney and Alex Keath remain on track to return from their respective hamstring injuries next month. Second-year defender Tom Doedee will continue to be assessed after injuring his shoulder at SANFL level.
