Adelaide stars Taylor Walker and Rory Sloane will be named in the Crows' 25-man squad to face Greater Western Sydney at Adelaide Oval on Sunday.
Walker has been struggling with a tight hamstring and Sloane missed the pre-season competition with a fractured eye socket, but both players completed training on Thursday.
"They got through really well, so we'll name them later this afternoon," Crows coach Don Pyke said.
"Still got three days to the game and we're very confident both of those guys will come up.
"Captain and vice-captain of our footy club clearly signifies how important they are in terms of their leadership and their playing side of things.
"There's still a couple little hurdles to clear for them, but the signs are really positive.
"They both trained fully, got through the session really well so we'll see how they pull up tomorrow with the expectation they will play."
Defender Jake Lever (hamstring) is also available, but the Crows are yet to decide whether to throw him straight into the senior side or have him regain match fitness through the SANFL.
Sloane has been sidelined since colliding with teammate Josh Jenkins during training on February 10.
Sloane had an artificial bone inserted in his face and has been given clearance by his surgeon to resume playing.
Pyke was confident Sloane's fitness base would overcome any rust of having not played any games in the pre-season.
"It'd be ideal if he (Sloane) had a run, but the circumstances didn't allow that," Pyke said.
"We're talking about a two-time best and fairest winner, a nearly 150-game player, so he's got experience, elite in terms of his fitness and his preparation, he's done a mountain of work.
"It comes with some risk, but we're comfortable in that space.
"The indications are there are no restrictions of the game time of Sloaney or Tex."
Pyke also declared that exciting utility Curtly Hampton would make his Crows debut against his former club on Sunday.
Hampton played 51 games for the Giants before joining Adelaide ahead of the 2016 season.
"Curtly will play on Sunday. It's a credit to him because he's really worked hard through the offseason and the pre-season," Pyke said.
"His form through the JLT (Community Series) has been really pleasing ... he's basically built week on week. I thought his game against Brisbane two weeks ago was another level up from even what we saw against Richmond and Geelong.
"It's fantastic for him. His first game for the footy club happens to be against his former club. I know he's really excited and looking forward to the opportunity."
Veteran midfielder Scott Thompson, 34, will play in a SANFL trial on Saturday to build match fitness after a shoulder injury.
But Brad Crouch will be held back at least another week in his return from a hamstring injury.
"Thommo will play this weekend, he's earmarked to get some game time in the game on Saturday," Pyke said.
"And Brad is probably another week until we see him back, but he's back to full training this week and has trained really well."
