Adelaide forwards Lachlan Murphy and Taylor Walker have been charged by the AFL after the Match Review of Wednesday night’s games was completed.
Murphy can accept a one-match sanction with an early plea after being charged with Engaging in Rough Conduct against Jack Viney in the third quarter of the loss to Melbourne.
Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as Careless Conduct, Medium Impact and High Contact.
Walker has been charged with striking Melbourne ruckman Max Gawn during the third quarter and can accept a $1000 sanction with an early plea.
Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as Careless Conduct with Low Impact and High Contact. The incident was classified as a $1500 sanction as a first offence. The player can accept a $1000 sanction with an early plea.
Four Demons were also charged by the AFL after Wednesday night's clash at Adelaide Oval.
Alex Neal-Bullen has been referred directly to the Tribunal for a dangerous tackle against Will Hamill that left the 19-year-old concussed and unable to play any further part in the game.
The incident was assessed as Careless Conduct, Severe Impact and High Contact.
Tom Sparrow and Harley Bennell can each accept a $1000 sanction for Engaging in Rough Conduct, while Jay Lockhart can accept a $750 sanction for striking Ben Crocker.
