Henderson has not been ruled out of playing in Saturday night’s first home of the premiership season against the Western Bulldogs.

Henderson was concussed and sore across his chest and neck after copping a heavy bump in the second quarter of Adelaide’s opening round clash with Gold Coast on Saturday.

But the 23-year-old utility has recovered well and may be cleared to join the main group for training later this week if he continues to improve.

Rookie listed defender Will Young injured a shoulder in the SANFL and will be assessed this week.

Adelaide has a closed  training session on AAMI  Stadium on Wednesday, but Friday’s light run (also on AAMI Stadium) will be open to the public from about 10.15am.
