Star Crow Scott Thompson has been recognised for an outstanding season, taking out Victorian radio station SEN’s Player of the Year Award.

Thompson polled two votes in Adelaide’s win over Gold Coast last weekend to overtake Essendon skipper Jobe Watson at the top of the leaderboard. Teammate Patrick Dangerfield finished in fourth spot on 22 votes.

One of the favourites for the Brownlow Medal, Thompson has enjoyed another superb season in 2012. The consistent midfielder ranked fourth in the AFL for total disposals (651) in the minor round, third in contested possessions (319) and second in clearances (158).

Thompson will receive a $3,000 Trojan Tool Kit, packed with workhorse tools for every DIY job.
