Surgery sidelines Jaensch
Young defender Matt Jaensch will play no further part in Adelaide's season after having surgery
Crows footy operations general manager Phil Harper said Jaensch, who turned 23 on Tuesday, had been troubled by groin soreness for most of the season.
“Matt has been able to manage it for most of the season but it flared up late last week,” he said.
“We decided it was best for him to have surgery straight away so he can be ready for the pre-season.”
Jaensch played 10 AFL games for the Crows this season, the last as the sub in the final minor round against Gold Coast at AAMI Stadium. He signed a new two-year deal with the Club earlier in the year.
