Crows fans believe Scott Thompson and Patrick Dangerfield will be at the top of the Club Champion leaderboard.

Adelaide’s two 2012 All Australian representatives appear the Crows most likely to take home the  Malcolm Blight Medal and Gold Jacket from Friday night’s presentation at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

Thompson, the 2011 Club Champion, was the clear favourite on our recent Facebook poll, with nearly 800 of the 1,400 votes falling his way.

Sam Jacobs, Brent Reilly, Rory Sloane and 2012 Rising Star Daniel Talia are also expected to be among the leaders in the count.

Thompson would be the first Crows player to win consecutive awards since Simon Goodwin (2005-06) while Dangerfield finished fifth last year.

Other presentations to be made on Friday night include Best Team Man, Emerging Talent, Coach’s Award, Leading Goalkicker, M.A. Bickley Award and the 19th Man Award.

There is also a new award - the Dr Brian Sando OAM Trophy - to recognise outstanding professionalism in preparing to play AFL.

There will be comprehensive coverage of the Club Champion awards on www.afc.com.au.
