The club and iconic car brand celebrated their 21st year with the signing of a large and symbolic (car) key at the Adelaide Football Club in the Westpac Centre.
The association between the Adelaide Football Club and Toyota is one of the longest standing AFL club partnerships.
“Toyota is thrilled to be renewing its sponsorship with the Adelaide Football Club.
This partnership is one of the most enduring in Australian sport with Toyota backing the club since its inception in 1991,” Senior Executive Director, Sales & Marketing, David Buttner said.
“Supporting the game we all love is a priority for Toyota and Toyota Dealers across South Australia. The club has a wonderful and loyal support base and it is their unwavering spirit and passion for their club and this great game that we share,” Buttner said.
Toyota also recently renewed its sponsorship with the AFL for a further three years. Toyota has been Premier Partner of the AFL since 2004 which has seen the brand become more engrained in the hearts and minds of AFL fans.
“Toyota’s long-term commitment to our club has been the cornerstone of our strength both on and off the field and is something we are very proud of,” said the Adelaide Football Club CEO Steven Trigg.
“Re-signing with the club for a further three years is a huge endorsement from Toyota that they see great benefit from the partnership and reflects the confidence Toyota has in the club celebrating success again in the near future. Our gratitude goes to Toyota head office, SA management and the dealers in our state,” Trigg said.
