Crows fans have celebrated the induction of Mark Ricciuto into the AFL Hall of Fame by expressing their adulation on social networking sites, Facebook and Twitter.

Hundreds of Adelaide supporters have celebrated the ex-crows momentous occasion by posting on the popular websites overnight.

Some of the comments marking his achievement included:

“Mark "The Roo" Ricciuto, probably 1 of the top 5 best players to play the game over the past 15yrs. A Brownlow, 3 club B&F's, 8 all-Australians and a flag (should of been 2). Think that says it all.” Wade Taylor

“Well deserved recognition for your contribution to the game, and the way in which you have gone about your life after footy. A great player, and a great ambassador for the game.” Barb Jamieson

“Well Deserved Roo. One of the greatest ever South Australian Footballers in history. Mark Riccuto is an absolute star.” Dawud Tuckwell

“Dedication, Toughness, Led by example, Inspired others - the true reason for being named captain - Roo was our best ever.” Simon Griffiths

“No one deserves it more with the hard work, the leadership and skills you put in for the team and yourself, it has made you one of the greatest players the AFL has and will ever see. Congrats Roo.” Robert Morrow

“What a legend, our greatest captain!” Kevin Smith

“Much deserved Roo. You always were a great player to watch and I knew everytime you got the ball that something brilliant was coming. Ricciuto, Mcleod, Edwards and Hart. What more can I say. Those 4 could just about win a game off there on boots and all deserve the honour!.” Michael Hendry

Twitter fans have also celebrated the event by ‘tweeting’ about the former champion and Crows legend.

Steve Kourasanis wrote - “Mark Ricciuto is going into the AFL Hall of Fame tonight. Very happy with this, a champion of the modern era. Well done Roo.”

Amy Jones said, “Congratulations to a true champion in Mark Ricciuto! Inducted into the AFL Hall of Fame!”

Former Geelong captain, Tom Harley also tweeted - “Great night at the Australian Football Hall of Fame last night. The best AFL function I've been to. Well done to the new inductees.”
