Bassett rides for charity
Nathan Bassett is gearing up to ride for a cause that he knows all about.
Bassett, who has Type 1 diabetes, will be riding through the Barossa Valley on Saturday January 20 to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
For Bassett it is the second time he has taken part in such an event, riding for the same cause last year.
Bassett will be joined on the 160km ride by Crows staff member Allison Kane and partner Josh Smith.
Type 1 diabetes can be life threatening, and currently there is no cure. Despite a well managed and balanced lifestyle, the disease cannot be prevented. Type 1 Diabetes can be managed with daily, multiple insulin injections, blood tests, measured foods and exercise.
