Five Crows will wear new guernsey numbers in season 2013.
Draftees Sam Siggins (No.20) and Rory Atkins (No.21) will be neighbours in the locker room.
The No.20 guernsey became available when forward/ruckman Josh Jenkins made the switch to the vacant No.4. The No.4, which has previously been worn in games by Sean Tasker, Lance Picioane, Matthew Clarke and most recently Kurt Tippett, holds significance for Jenkins.
“I wore the No.4 jersey while playing basketball as a youngster, so I thought I may as well jump at the chance to have it again,” Jenkins said.
“Obviously, I’m well aware Kurt was prominent in the guernsey but I’m looking to make my own mark and, hopefully, have a successful career in the No.4.”
Ruckman Angus Graham will wear the No.15, most recently worn by midfielder Brad Symes. David Pittman, Adam Richardson, Ryan Fitzgerald and Jason Torney are the other previous owners of locker No.15.
Atkins replaces Richmond recruit Chris Knights, who played 96 games for Adelaide, in locker No.21. Other players to wear the No.21 in an official match are David Brown, Trent Ormond-Allen, James Gallagher (who started in No.41) and Matthew Bode (who finished in the No.10).
John Klug, Matthew Powell, Aaron Keating, Tyson Stenglein, Ivan Maric and Josh Jenkins have all pulled on No.20 for the Crows.
Rookies Jack Osborn (No.30) and Tim Klaosen (No.39) will wear numbers formerly owned by James Craig and Will Young.
Only three players, Grantley Fielke, Peter Vardy and Luke Jericho have worn the No.30 in a game. Jonathon Ross, Linden Stevens, Martin Mattner and Will Young have all worn the No.39.
As previously announced, forward Matt Wright will also wear a different number next season. Wright has taken over the No.11 guernsey formerly owned by two-time Best Team Man Michael Doughty, who retired in September. Only two other players have worn the No.11 at Adelaide, Tony McGuiness and Brett James.
