Crows Dream Team update: round 20
‘#1 why try harder?’ continues to dominate the Crows Dream Team Group.
Heading into the Dream Team finals, Josh’s team sits on 40,573, 117 points ahead of ‘Webstars’.
‘BRC’s Galore’ remains the national competition leader by 107 points.
‘BRC’s Galore’ coached by Ron, is almost certain to win the national prize after averaging a massive 2,186 per week and scoring 41,540 points overall. Only a falter will see second placed team, ‘Pies R back 2 back’ take out the prestigious title.
A special mention this week to Dominic as his team, ‘DT Cubed Redux’ broke the all-time ‘weekly score’ record. Dominic amassed a huge total of 2833 points with sixteen of his players scoring well over 100. Well Done!
In South Australia, ‘Micheal’s’ team is clinging onto first position by 69 points. Micheal sits just above teams ‘In with a chance’ and ‘Kalamata Power’ with only 95 points separating the top three teams.
On the field, it was a big round this week with nine players scoring over 150 points. Joel Selwood’s 43 disposals and 11 tackles gave the Geelong midfielder 178 DT points and bragging rights over the rest of the comp. Team mates, Steve Johnson, Joel Corey and Corey Enright weren’t too far behind with Dane Swan also returning to top form.
Adelaide Crows captain Nathan van Berlo had an outstanding game in the Balfours Showdown. Nathan had 30 touches and led the Crows to victory picking up 120 DT points and the showdown medal for his efforts. Chris Knights also had a big return to form with 114 points and Rory Sloan was terrific with 109.
