Defensive ball winner
Despite being assigned defensive roles on the dangerous Marc Murphy and two-time Brownlow medallist Chris Judd, Crows skipper Nathan van Berlo proved you can still accumulate plenty or possessions and importantly post a big DT score. VB collected 23 disposals, nine marks, a massive nine tackles and kicked a goal to post his highest DT score for season 2012 (128pts).
JJ’s rising numbers
After showing some positive signs in his AFL debut against Geelong in round seven, Josh Jenkins showed he can be an important key-position player for Adelaide with a promising outing against Carlton. Jenkins scored 92 Dream Team points after amassing 13 disposals, eight marks and two goals. DT coaches should strongly consider bringing the ruck option into their sides, with his ($104,200) price tag set to rise significantly after his third game.
