Scott Thompson is a late withdrawal from Adelaide’s team to play North Melbourne.

Thompson, who has a sore calf, will be replaced in the 22 by Tony Armstrong, who has not played for the Crows since making his AFL debut in the opening round.

Armstrong’s inclusion means Adelaide’s 22 will have five players with 10 games or less AFL experience - Armstrong (1 game), Myke Cook (10), Phil Davis (4), Chris Schmidt (7) and Matthew Jaensch (2).

Rory Sloane takes his spot on the emergency list, and Jonathon Griffin and Jack Gunston will be in Melbourne with the team.

Brett Burton has today had an arthroscopy to clean out his knee. The Crows forward yesterday saw his surgeon, who recommended the procedure.

The team is:

B: Michael Doughty, Ben Rutten, Phil Davis
HB: Nathan van Berlo, Nathan Bock, Simon Goodwin
C: Myke Cook, Brent Reilly, Bernie Vince
HF: Richard Douglas, Kurt Tippett, Tyson Edwards
F: Jared Petrenko, Taylor Walker, Scott Stevens
R: Ivan Maric, Patrick Dangerfield, Andrew McLeod
I/c: Jason Porplyzia, Chris Schmidt, Matthew Jaensch, Tony Armstrong.
Emerg: Griffin, Gunston, Sloane

In to 22: Walker, Dangerfield, Armstrong
Out of 22: Johncock (shoulder), Thompson (calf), Burton
