Predictably, ruckman Sam Jacobs earned maximum votes from the coaches in Balfours Showdown XXXIII at AAMI Stadium on Saturday night.

Jacobs amassed a remarkable 61 hit-outs (just three shy of the all-time record) and 19 possessions to take out the Showdown Medal for best on ground.

Utility Ricky Henderson, who was an unlikely hero up forward booting six goals, polled eight votes, while evergreen midfielder Scott Thompson scored six votes for after collecting 32 touches and 12 clearances. Thompson has moved into second place on the overall leaderboard, only two votes behind Essendon skipper Jobe Watson.

Nathan van Berlo (four votes) earned recognition for his tagging role on Power onballer Danyle Pearce. Bernie Vince was the other Crow to receive a vote, while Paul Stewart was awarded Port Adelaide's lone vote.
