Crows players, coaches and staff tell afc.com.au what’s at the top of their Christmas wish list…
Coach Brenton Sanderson: “My Christmas wish is a little unique this year … I’d love an exit-row seat or even better an upgrade (to business/first-class) because I’ll be in the air on Christmas Day! I’ll be spending the Christmas break in London, with a few soccer games on the agenda. I’m off to see Chelsea v Fulham on Boxing Day and then Liverpool v Newcastle on December 30.”
Jarryd Lyons: “I’ve actually just bought a new set of golf clubs, but they haven’t arrived yet. I’m hoping they get here before Christmas. I’m heading back home to Melbourne for most of the break to catch up with family and friends. I might also go up to the Mornington Peninsula for a few days, which will be nice.”
Daniel Talia: “I’d like a plane ticket to Melbourne, so I can go and see my family because I haven’t seen them in a while. It would be good to get back there and spend Christmas with them. I’d also like to head up to Victor Harbor with my girlfriend Megan and learn how to surf.”
CEO Steven Trigg: “I’d like 50,000 members and a compressor … my bike tyres can’t handle the extra weight on them! I plan to spend the festive season having a (nearly) four-week break with family and friends.”
Sam Martyn: “I’d like some new clothes. Pretty boring, I know. I’m hoping mum and dad come through and also Santa … I’ve got two younger brothers and a sister, so Santa is pretty popular in our house. We’ve got my Nan’s 90th in Sydney over Christmas too, so it’s going to be huge. It’ll be good to catch up with people I haven’t seen in 10 years.”
Ian Callinan: “I’m not sure. Probably just to spend time with my family back in Tasmania. I’d be happy with a plane ticket home. Jack is six, so he’s right into Christmas and can’t wait to go back to Tassie. My wife Lauren is from Tassie too, so all her family is over there and all my family as well.
