Rory Sloane will return to strengthen Adelaide’s midfield in Sunday’s clash with Melbourne at the MCG.

Sloane is among three changes to last week’s winning team, with Jared Petrenko and Chris Schmidt also named in the 22.

The Crows were forced to make two changes after losing Richard Tambling to suspension, Phil Davis to a shoulder injury, while dropping Brodie Martin back to the SANFL.

Sloane has not played since breaking his jaw and left thumb in the opening round of the season against Hawthorn.

Petrenko has not played since round 12, 2010 when Adelaide lost to Hawthorn in Launceston.

Schmidt, who has been a standout in the SANFL for West Adelaide the past month, played 13 games last year but this is his first AFL game this season.

Adelaide’s first Sunday game of 2011 is also the Club’s only minor round game scheduled for the MCG this season.

The team is:

HB: van Berlo, L. Thompson, Jaensch
C: Henderson, Reilly, Smith
HF: Douglas, McKernan, Knights
