Crows midfielder Richard Douglas says he is likely to beat a hip injury and line up against Port Adelaide in the Balfours Showdown on Saturday night.
"I won't train tonight, but hopefully I'll run around tomorrow and train fully Thursday," he said.
"I've suffered a similar injury before and I got up to play the next week, so all going well I should be right to play on the weekend.
"It's a Showdown. It's the biggest game of the year except finals. We're 1-1 and we want to have another win. It's a big game…so I'll be desperate to play."
Adelaide will need to replace defender Phil Davis (shoulder) but Douglas said the 20-year-old defender was fortunate to avoid surgery.
"Phil's a pretty upbeat sort of bloke and it was good news that he didn't need a reconstruction or anything serious like that. He'll miss a few games, but it's not a bad result in the end," Douglas said.
"It's a big blow for the team. Phil's been in great form and has been doing some really good jobs for us. It gives someone else an opportunity and we're looking for whoever takes that role to stand up and do a good job."
Douglas said the Crows wouldn't underestimate their cross-town rivals this week.
"We played so well in round one and to let ourselves down like that [against Fremantle was disappointing]. We expect to play better footy than that," he said.
"I remember last year…Port lost a few games in a row [nine] and then came out and beat us, so were totally aware of what they're capable of and we're under no illusions that it'll be an easy game," he said.
"We had a poor performance on the weekend, but we're still 1-1 and we're looking forward."
