This week is the Crows indigenous round and the Club urges all members and supporters to get to the ground early this Saturday night to see ‘Rio Tinto Indigenous Lands Challenge Cup’ clash.

The Adelaide v Sydney curtain raiser that features representative sides from APY Lands and Maralinga, kicks off at 4.05pm.

The APY Lands team will be guests of the Crows all week as they prepare for the match, where they will meet indigenous Crows players and undergo football performance testing.

Photos from the Crows’ APY Lands program will also be featured on the super screens at AAMI Stadium during half time on Saturday.

Tickets to Saturday night’s match with Sydney are available online, at a Ticketmaster outlet, at the gate (gate 4 from 4.00pm) or by phoning 136 100. To view the complete match-day preview, click here.

The Crows have had an on-going fostership program with the APY Lands since 2008. Through the program the Club is aiming to make a difference to the lifestyle of people living in the APY Lands through football. The program involves coaching, training and lifestyle programs specifically this year teaching the community about ‘My Eye Health’ to promote eye hygiene.

In September each year Crows players also spend the week in the Lands watching the local finals, holding the Crows in Schools clinic and talking to the community about health and education.
