Adelaide has named utility Michael Doughty for his first game of the season against West Coast, replacing youngster Bernie Vince, who was omitted.

The Crows also named on the bench veteran ruckman Matthew Clarke, wingman Robert Shirley and the speedy Graham Johncock, leaving out Kris Massie, Hayden Skipworth and Scott Stevens.

West Coast defender Brett Jones has been named in the Eagles' final 22 and will start on the bench with Rowan Jones, Ashley Sampi and Adam Selwood.

The Eagles left out Damien Adkins, Matt Priddis and Matt Rosa, while defender Daniel Chick (calf) and forward Ashley Hansen (hamstring) could not be considered due to injury.
