Crows recruit Brad Moran will visit a specialist on Monday to find out the extent of damage to a fractured finger.

Moran, who was in line for selection in the opening round against the Western Bulldogs, hurt the finger playing for West Adelaide in an SANFL trial on Saturday.

The time needed for recovery will hinge on whether the specialist decides Moran will need surgery.

Moran, 21, was recruited from the Kangaroos at the end of the 2007 season and  played in Adelaide's four NAB Cup games this year.
