Crows players trained in white socks as a symbolic gesture to show their support for International White Ribbon Day.

Defender Ben Rutten and ruckman Sam Jacobs, who are both white ribbon day ambassadors, led the way as the entire team and coaches donned the white socks for Thursday's training session on Max Basheer Reserve.

White Ribbon Day promotes the elimination of domestic violence worldwide against women and November 25 has been designated International White Ribbon Day since 1999.

It is a cause that the Adelaide Football club is strongly committed to with Maria Hagias (Executive Director for the Centre for Domestic Violence) pictured here with Rutten and Jacobs, a key figure on the Club's Behaviour Committee.

The Behaviour Committee was formed with the aim to be pro-active with current or trending issues, prepare information/education, strategy and recommendations.

White Ribbon Day is Australia's only national male-led violence prevention campaign.

The oath that men are asked to pledge this year is to swear to never commit, excuse or remain silent about violence against women.
