Adelaide has made four changes for the Gold Coast trip, recalling Richard Douglas, Ben Rutten, David Mackay and Kurt Tippett.

Two vacancies were created by injuries, with Chris Knights (quad) and Ricky Henderson (adductor) unable to recover in time. Ivan Maric and Brodie Smith were also squeezed out of the 22 from last Sunday’s game against Geelong Cats.

Douglas, the 2010 club champion, returned in the SANFL last weekend after missing five weeks with a sprained ankle. Mackay has missed two games with a leg injury, Rutten pulled out of the Geelong game because of illness and Tippett missed three games to recover from a hamstring strain.

Adelaide heads to the Gold Coast on Friday morning and will have a light run at Metricon Stadium from about 1.30pm.

Saturday’s game against the Gold Coast Suns starts at 2.10pm local time.
