Tippett insists on Swans - Adelaide Advertiser
And as much as Adelaide can get a better deal from the Giants than Sydney, Tippett - despite not being a free agent - has the right to veto any trade the Crows conjure before next Friday's deadline. The Giants yesterday declared that they are willing to offer Tippett his much-wanted lifestyle change to Sydney by offering to hand Adelaide anything but their No. 1 draft pick for the 25-year-old Queenslander. Greater Western Sydney's early draft picks are far more tempting to the Crows than Sydney's offers of a second-round draft pick or out-of-favour ruckman-forward Jesse White. But they are a wasted offer while Tippett remains steadfast on becoming a Swan
Giants join race for Tippett - Daily Telegraph
Giants list manager Stephen Silvagni said they were prepared to use their wealth of first-round draft picks to entice the Crows power forward to Greater Western Sydney.
"The Crows certainly know we've got some interest in him," Silvagni told The Daily Telegraph.
As the trade period enters its second week, the Swans appear to be struggling to meet Adelaide's demands for Tippett. That opens the door for the Giants, who clearly have more aces up their sleeve.
Up for grabs - AFL.com.au
Despite reports to the contrary, Ireland also categorically denied father-son pick Tom Mitchell may be used in the trade with the Crows to land Tippett.
"Tom's name has never been raised by us and will never be raised by us," Ireland said. "He's a father-son who we think will be important in our midfield in the future and he would never be part of the trade."
There has been increasing speculation that one of the Swans' 2012 premiership players might be on the trade table, but Ireland moved some way to rejecting that theory. "I can't guarantee it. [But] I don't think it'll happen and we're hopeful it won't happen," he said.
Grundy to stay a Swan - Adelaide Advertiser
As trade talks between the Crows and Swans stagnated on Wednesday, Heath Grundy's manager, Marty Pask, said the Croweater would not be involved in any Tippett move to Sydney.

What's Tippett worth? - Adelaide Advertiser

No quick trade for Tippett - Adelaide Advertiser
ADELAIDE'S trade talks with Sydney for defecting key forward Kurt Tippett amounted to no more than a cup of coffee yesterday. And the prospect of the Swans offering up out-of-favour forward Jesse White has fallen flat on the Crows. Sydney must now buy drinks elsewhere around the AFL to find draft picks and/or players to satisfy the Crows.
