Rick Henderson faces a test on his sore hip later this week if he is to be available to play against the GWS Giants at AAMI Stadium on Saturday.
Henderson withdrew from Sunday’s game against Hawthorn when he reported soreness after Saturday’s training session in Melbourne. He was replaced in the 22 by first-gamer Sam Kerridge.
At this stage there are no injuries from the MCG game. Midfielder Richard Douglas (hamstring) is probably three or four weeks away from returning.
Shaun McKernan, who rested a sore thumb last weekend, will be available but Brad Crouch strained a hamstring playing for West Adelaide in the SANFL on Friday night.
Adelaide has a light training session on Tuesday from 10am, on Max Basheer Reserve.
The main session on Wednesday is closed but the team will complete its preparation for Saturday’s game with another light run on AAMI Stadium on Friday from about 10.30am.
